100ª Página is a famous independent bookstore that does much more than sell books: it's also a space that hosts exhibitions, book presentations, debates, concerts, children's activities, workshops, and much more. Initially located in the Faculty of Philosophy Square, the 100ª Página Bookstore opened to the public on November 26, 1999. In 2005 it moved to Casa do Rolão, on Avenida Central, in the heart of Braga, Northern Portugal.

Casa Rolão, a beautiful example of 18th-century civil architecture in the Baroque style, is attributed to André Soares and is believed to have been built for a Braga industrialist between 1759 and 1765. It has been classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1977.

The wonderful bookstore Centésima Página, located in a beautiful historic building, is right in the center of the city. It has stunning interiors and endless selection for book lovers.

While preparing for the exhibition, I wanted to choose a theme and select works that would be interesting for the readers and friends of this place.

The exhibition brings together my Moscow works from the series “Birds. Characters” with birds I created in Portugal. This is how the exhibition “Birds of the North and South” was born.
